Security within Y.E.S.! Time and Attendance

Employee Security settings within Y.E.S.! Time and Attendance are made from the "Employee Notes and Settings" tab of the "Employees" screen and company-wide from the "Control" "Company Setup" screen..

 

Company-wide Security Settings

 

Company-wide Security Settings are made from the Company Setup screen shown below.  

 

Activating Security

 

If "Enable Security" is un-checked, security is disabled throughout the Time and Attendance system.  To enable security, "Enable Security" must  be checked. Y.E.S.! Time and Attendance program comes with the Security Disabled and the Administrator's Password set to "1".  This Administrator's password must be changed and recorded in a safe place.

Employees Security Settings

 

In order to print time cards, you must first be logged in as an employee who has been granted the rights to access the Employees screen.  Click on the "Control" and then "Employees" menu to open the Employees screen.  

 

 

Security is set on an employee-by-employee basis.

 

Two (2) Security Levels are available:

 

 

CAUTION: Any employee who has been granted this right also has been granted access to the entire Time and Attendance system's security settings.

 


 

Changes in the operation of   Y.E.S.! Time and Attendance made when Security is Enabled

 

If Security is enabled, the main screen will display the padlock icon in the bottom left side of the screen.

 

 

 

In addition, the menu options available will change to reflect the permissions granted.

 

If "Enable Employees to Change Their Password" is un-checked, the "Change Passwords" option will be removed from the Control menu.

 

 

The Company Setup and Employees menu options are still visible.  However, attempt to access to either of  these menu options will prompt the user for his/her user name and password before proceeding:

 

 

If the user has not been granted the right to access either the Company Setup or Employees menu options, the user will be shown the following message:

 

 

If "Enable Employees to View and Print their punch in Report" and "Enable Employees to view and Print their Final Posted Report" on the Company Info, Security Settings tab are both un-checked, the Reports menu options are removed as shown below.
