3. Problems when trying to make an Invoice in the Point-of-Sale program.
Description: When I try to make an invoice in the POS, it tells me that:
1. The selected Customer does not have invoice permissions

6. My website doesn't appear after I upload it.
Description: My website doesn't appear after I upload it.
Resolution: Check with the host provider and ask them what your "Public HTML Directory" should be. Then compare what they tell you with the Y.E.S.!™ software under the "Website" menu, "Account Settings" to make sure that it is the same.
7. "Merchant ID number is missing or invalid" error when a Customer tries to process a Credit Card order.
Description: When a user tries to place a credit card order from my site, he gets an error message that my Merchant ID number is missing. But I did enter the number from the "Secure Settings" menu.
Resolution: The Merchant ID number that you should enter on the "Secure Settings" menu is the ID number that your secure server gave you when you signed up, not your Bank's Merchant ID number. The correct number will be a 5 digit number.
8.How are credit card transactions
done with different currencies? For example, I am in the USA and
someone in Europe buys something off of my website. Where and when does
the money get exchanged into US dollars?
A. The great thing about our service is that it allows you to take credit card transactions from anywhere and at anytime. If your customers are using major credit cards (i.e., VISA, MASTERCARD) to purchase on your site, you would charge them in US dollars and the credit card processing system would automatically deduct from their account the proper equivalent and then deposit that in your account. The conversion is completed by your credit card processing network.
9. Can a person anywhere in the
world have a website and use our partner's credit card
services?
A. They can, but they would have to establish a compatible US based merchant account. Any Merchant Account that utilizes one of the following processing networks is compatible:
If your processing network is not listed here, please contact your merchant account provider and request to be moved to one of the supported processing networks. You may need to print this list of supported processing networks for their use.
10. How do I get my Y.E.S.! access codes?
I purchased the Y.E.S.! Software Suite and now I need my access codes
to unlock the software.
A. After purchasing the Y.E.S.! Software Suite, e-mail your Y.E.S.! serial number along with your name, address and contact information to support@yukonsoft.com. You can find your serial number under the "Help" "About" screen inside the Y.E.S.!. software.
11. Where are the Keywords entered that the
Search Engines use?
I don't see any place to add keywords or Meta Tags!
A. The Y.E.S.! Software does this for you. Each item name is automatically added as a Meta Tag keyword.
12. Why does the Custom Page Editor crash on start-up?
A. Your YSEditor.INI file may be corrupt. This file is located in the YES directory. You may safely delete this file. This file will be re-created the next time that the YukonSoft Custom Page Editor runs. (Background: Each entry in the YSEditor.INI file should be on its own line, beginning with the variable name, an "=" sign and followed by the data that applies to that variable. If an invalid entry has inserted a return in a line, the Custom Page Editor cannot process that line, and the program will crash. This most commonly occurs in the "DocTitle" field, which is a user created entry. Other fields are internally generated.)
13. Why do sales taxes include shipping costs
with Plug'N Pay?
A. If you are using Plug'n Pay® as your secure transaction provider on your website, by default sales tax will be based on the total price of the order, including shipping charges. If you do not want to apply sales tax to shipping charges, you must request Plug'n Pay to set a special flag in your account to not collect tax on shipping fees. You may make this request via the online Plug'n Pay® helpdesk. Plug'n Pay cannot distinguish between states that require sales tax to be collected on shipping chares and those that do not. This flag will thereafter affect ALL sales.
14. Why are some of my images not appearing
on my website? I have checked with an FTP program to see if the files are
present on my server and found that they are indeed there!
A. The most likely reason for images not appearing on your website after they have been uploaded is that the file names used for the images contained special characters.
File names on your web server should not contain special characters (e.g., spaces[ ], dashes [-], underlines[_], percents[%], quotes["], asterisks[*], extra periods, backslashes, etc.) as they can be interpreted differently in the various operating system in use around the world. Although the ISO 9600 standard allows underscores [_], their use should be discouraged due to their tendency to blend in when listed as a hot link.
The easiest fix is for you to rename the offending images in the directory that originally contained them (i.e., not under the YukonSoft directories), then replace the images using your Y.E.S.!™ software. The next time that you upload to your website the images should appear. If they do not appear immediately, try refreshing your browser. You may have to clear your browser's cache in order to refresh your browser.
15. Can I use the Y.E.S.!™ program to take
inventory of my products and then update my QuickBooks inventory using the
Y.E.S.! inventory counts?
A. If you are using QuickBooks as your accounting system, QuickBooks will control all inventory quantities on-hand once your products have been added to QuickBooks. It will not be possible to update your inventory quantities on-hand from the Y.E.S.!™ database automatically. This is a restriction imposed by QuickBooks.
If you run the Y.E.S.! Accounting™ Interface, the Y.E.S.!™ quantities on-hand will be set back to the quantities contained in QuickBooks.
If you want to use Y.E.S.!™ to take inventory, you should not run the Y.E.S.! Accounting™ Interface until after you have printed out the "All Items" report. Use this report to update your QuickBooks quantities on hand manually.
16. When I change the item name/number or price in
Quickbooks® or in Y.E.S.!™, why don't the changes appear automatically in the other application
after I run the Y.E.S.!™ "Accounting Interface."
A. Unfortunately, this is by design on Quickbooks'® part:
1. Quickbooks® does not allow external applications to MODIFY existing data, only add. This is done to maintain the integrity of their data. Therefore a new item created in Y.E.S.! will be added to Quickbooks® and a new item added in Quickbooks® will be added to Y.E.S.! However changes must be made manually in both. The only exception to this is the inventory quantity. When items are sold, the inventory in Quickbooks® will be reduced by the number sold in Y.E.S.!™ the next time that the Y.E.S.!™ accounting interface is run. However, if you increase the quantity on hand in the Y.E.S.!™ inventory, the next time that the Y.E.S.! accounting interface is run, the inventory of that item in Y.E.S.!™ will be reset back to the last known quantity on hand in Quickbooks®. This is because Quickbooks® is the master database. Inventory adjustments must be made manually from Quickbooks®, not Y.E.S.!™
2. If external applications were alllowed to modify Quickbooks® data, how could the software know which side - Quickbooks® or the external application (such as Y.E.S.!™) - was in charge?
17. When I run the Y.E.S.!™ Accounting Interface, I keep
getting the error message "Status Code = 3176. A related object is already in use, or failed
to acquire the lock for this object."
A. This error is caused by having open a record either in Y.E.S.!™ or in QuickBooks® that the interface needs to write to. To prevent this error message, close all open screens in Y.E.S.!™ and in QuickBooks® and run the Y.E.S.!™Accounting Interface again.
18. I keep getting error "-2147024770" when I try to run the
Y.E.S.! Accounting Interface.
A. This error means that here was a problem establishing communication with your Quickbooks data file. This error message is received when QBFC3.0 (QuickBooks Foundation Classes) is not getting installed properly on a particular machine. To reinstall these components, please download the following file and save it on your computer:
QBFC3_0Installer.exe Prior to installing these files, please make sure both Y.E.S.! and QuickBooks are closed. Also make sure that the "QBUpdate.exe" is not running in the background. Now run "QBFC3_0Installer.exe" from the location where you saved it.
