Spell Checking

You may perform Spell Checking of your Inventory Item descriptions by clicking on the "Spell Check Descriptions" button found on the Inventory screen, Description tab.

If any misspelled words are found, the following dialog box will appear:

Not In dictionary - The word that the spell checker considers to be misspelled will appear in the "Not in Dictionary" box.

Suggestions  - The "Suggestions" box will show you a listing of all words that the spell checker associates with the misspelled word.  Select the word that you want to use to correct the spelling  from this list.  If the correct word that you intended is not on this list, type the correct spelling in the "Not In Dictionary" box.  As soon as you begin typing in the "Not in Dictionary" box, the caption will change from "Not in Dictionary:" to "Change To:".

Ignore - Pressing the Ignore button instructs the spell checker to treat the word as spelled correctly for this one occurrence.  If the word is encountered again in the text, or if the text is spell checked again, the word will again cause the dialog box  to appear.

Ignore All - The Ignore All button instructs the spell checker to treat the current word as spelled correctly for the remainder of the spell checking session.  Depending on the application, this word may also continue to be considered spelled correctly until the spell checker is removed from memory.  Use this choice for words which are spelled correctly, but which do not occur frequently enough to warrant inclusion in a custom dictionary.

Change- Pressing the "Change" button replaces a single occurrence of the "Not in Dictionary" word with the word in the "Suggestions" box.  Subsequent occurrences of the "Not in Dictionary" word are still considered misspelled.  If there is no word in the "Suggestions" box, then the "Not in Dictionary" word is deleted from the text being spell checked.

Change All - Pressing the "Change All" button replaces the current word, and all subsequent occurrences of the  word with the high lighted word in the Suggestions box.  Subsequent occurrences of the word do not invoke this dialog box, but  are automatically replaced.  If there is no word in the "Suggestions" box, then the current and future occurrences of the "Not in Dictionary" word are deleted from the text being spell checked.

Cancel - Pressing the Cancel button cancels the spell check and returns to the application.  Changes made to the text up to this point may or may not take effect depending on the application design.
