Shipping Charges

Shipping Charges are costs that are being passed on to the Customer associated with getting the product to the Customer.  Shipping charges include not only the actual shipping costs charged by the delivery agency, but also the cost of packaging materials (such as boxes and padding) and handling costs.

Charges

From the Shipping Charges screen you can select whether and how you will charge for shipping by one of the following options:

The entire table shown above is editable to suit the standard shipping charges of the shipping agency being used to deliver your products to your Customers.  The table will charge according to the shipping charge method selected.

Because only one set of shipping charges can be entered, if you normally utilize more than one shipping agency (such as Federal Express, UPS, US Postal Service), it is recommended that you use either the rates for the agency that you utilize most often, or else enter the highest rate from among of the agencies that you utilize.

Methods

The second tab on the "Shipping Charges" screen allows you to specify which method(s) of shipping that you want to designate for your website.

Units of Weight

The Units of Weight tab of the Shipping Charges screen is used to designate whether you want to display shipping weight in Pounds (Lbs) or Kilograms.  These units will be displayed on your website and on your Internet Orders.
