Create a New eBay® Auction - Item Description

From this screen you are able to enter general information regarding your eBay® account as well as auction listing specifics.

• Option Fields (3) - If your item has selectable options, these fields will be enabled for you to select the specific option combination for this item to be submitted for auction.  If this item has no options, these boxes will be grayed out.

• Category Numbers - In these fields, you can enter the categories for listing this item on eBay®.  By clicking on the blue text link below the Category Number fields, launches your web browser and takes you to eBay's® website displaying a listing of categories to select from. You an simply copy the appropriate category from your browser and then paste it into either "Category Numbers" box.

• Use Custom Page for this Item (Check Box) - Check this box if you want to use a Custom Page for your item description rather than the description contained in the Item Inventory.  By using a Custom page, you may include advanced HTML formatting, and an unlimited number of images.  When this option is selected, the Custom Page will be displayed on your eBay® auction rather than the Inventory's description.

• NOTE 1: For the images included within the Custom Page to appear on your eBay® auction page, the Custom Page must be uploaded to your website.

• NOTE 2: You cannot include any references to files other than images on Custom Pages that are intended to be viewed on eBay®.  This includes linked in style sheets

• View Page button - Select an existing Custom Page from the drop down list shown just to the left of this button.  When you click on this button, the wizard screen will temporarily be replaced with a preview of the Custom Page that you have selected.   You cannot edit Custom Pages from this viewer.

• URL for Item Picture - In this field you can edit or enter the URL of a picture of this item.  If this item already has a picture associated with it, the URL of that picture on your web site will be filled in for your automatically.

• Edit the Description for this auction - This is the description that will be associated with this item on eBay®.  The field defaults containing the description you have entered for the item in the Inventory screen.  You can edit this description and customize it for eBay® viewers.
